CCAAB Camp

One word. Refreshing. Another word. Tiring. Last word. Burned.

The ccaab camp was awesome to say the least. Some of the activities were boring, but it was a insightful look into leadership. Which is cool, to say the least again. Learned many things about being a leader in the camp. And i realise from the flying fox thing, that jumping from it felt like commiting suicide, the feeling so surreal. The sea Expedition was tiring, canoeing for 4 hours straight. my hands felt like lead after that.the mud bath after that was worse. The mud was like a suction device, and i lost my sole to that mud. The land expedition was horrible and boring, even though we...ahem...challenge the process a bit. Teambuilding games, or situational games were something you all have done before, so nothing interesting.

One highlight was the fear factor part, where each of us have to eat a live maggot to begin initiation of being a leader. The shocking part was not eating the worm, but it having to taste like wet big soggy maggi noodles.

The theme of the whole camp was AC spirit, all about compassion and everything. We had many skits in the campfire, and it was awesome, and totally hilarious. Even the games in betweeen, though lame was aweseom. one memorable pick up line from ben, the pres of CF was:

"I dropped a coin and picked it up. Can i pick you up too?"

Totally lame arse, but supremely funny. I bow down to his lameness.

Came the last day, and whoa, we had a final challenge in school.we were at some jalan bahara campsite in the last three day. Had a changing parade. had to change to school uniform in 5 minutes, into camp attire in 3 minutes, and into PT kit in 2 minutes. Then into swim wear in 6 minutes. interesting, and when everyone started to cheer each other on, we knew we could find the AC spirit. The final challenge was a set of challenges that we had to do, while carrying a paralysed person. The first was the swimming obstacle, where we had to build a raft and carry the person through. Then, came some tunnel climbing, and that poor paralysed person had to be drag through. then came the chair thing, were we had to use the chairs to move a distance. Was okay i guess. Then, it was going through a ravine, the one beside the small little concrete bridge across the drain near the tennis court. Then it was getting a tyre out of a pole. We got so many demerit points just emptying the water from the tyre. Stupid Gurmit.

next, and very interestingly, was the going through the drain, underneath the steps near oldham wing. Kinda fun, but stuffy, and hot. Torchlights were everywhere, and it was cooler than cool to do that. Came out of the drain all dirty, and we had to run five rounds around the track with our paralysed person. Didnt thought i could make it, but apparently i did. It was very encouraging, cheering people on, and cheering others on. True AC spirit. Then we went through some hula hoop thing. And it handed with a crossword puzzle. Even though we finished, we still helped to cheer others on. It was the true AC spirit in unity. Even the teachers were impressed, and said we knew what we are talking about.

I am at home now, away from school, where i am supposed to be. But i am too tired to wake up at 5am to go to school shit. But i still need to for some formal dinner. Ah wells.
