Pan's LabyrinthNot that bad of a movie. Adult fantasy maybe. Interesting backdrop for a story. But it reminded me of my module, the narrative in new media, and how they taught us that there is some sort of structure in the story.There would be the hero, where he or she would be called to do something. This would be the part where the girl is called to do a few tasks. Then there would be the few tasks, a mentor to guide her. She fails one of the tasks, and this is similar to the hero having a crisis, so he or she loses confidence in herself. All this leads to the final climax, and then it ends happily ever after. Interestingly, the movie does follow the structure, and there are tons of other stories, movies that follows it. Narrative in New media is turning out to be an interesting class.
