Movie Reviews of the WeekPersepolis is good. It is actually quite hilarious, even though at certain parts it can get abit boring. Excellent drawing and presentation though, and the story was nice. Time didnt felt like it was moving forward, and when the lights came on, i thought they accidentally switched it on. But overall, a good movie people should watch. One of those movies that people will just usually skip, cause it is about some Iran history, but it's excellent. 4 stars. Sweeny Todd on the other hand wasnt as good as i expected it would be. Cliche and very predictable, even the ending was predictable. Though it built up its suspense quite well i must say. The songs were nice, but there isnt anything special. Gross in certain parts, but nothing new. I must say that Johnny Depp sounded like his old character Captain Sparrow, the way he speaks sounds similar, but his body language is different, so it is slightly confusing at some point in time. Overall, it is just average. 3.5 stars, maybe lesser
Step Up 2 is average. Dances are nice. Storyline nothing special. Cliched and all, so it just for the dances i guess. The soundtrack sounded nice. I came out of the theatre thinking that it would be a good listen. Listening to it now, i realised that it is only a few tracks. And the rest are just rap that kind of crap that i hate listening to.
