the end of all crypticness, hopefully

is there even such a word? let's run this word through its dictionary shall we? cryticness. ah, a red line. nope, there isnt such a word, but you get my drift.

probably this should be titled "after", as an end to all the cryticness that has been going on for the past few entries. more than a few actually. Probably a phase of me trying to express something without seeming too obvious. Probably a phase of me saying something that doesnt really mean anything. Probably means nothing, or maybe, just maybe everything.

post rock is excellent listening as the night drones on. the burst of emotions of the melodic landscapes really pulls you into their world, and makes you forget your troubles. Granted there are different kind of post rock, but not those screaming kind. Maybe that is post-hardcore instead. Still, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Skies and Godspeed you! Black Emperor (which i thought was a metal band) really makes my mind at ease, and it pretty much one of the best chill out music that you can probably hear when you are doing nothing but think in this seed of the new day. It takes some getting used to, but i am currently getting pretty much sick of generic bands, with almost the same voice, even if the bandname are different. Singing about pretty much the same thing, and really just sounding the same. Granted i may not be an expert in describing music like those reviewers, but at least i try.

Death Cab for Cutie was a disappointment. i had transactlantism on repeat for a very long time. Plans was much shorter, and the current one? Narrow Stairs, even worse. i think there are only a few songs that i would listen to again, mainly i will possess your heart, and even that is slowly losing its magic. The intro is, as i have said, takes too long to get into the song, which is what we all want to hear.

Lydia on the other hand is a surprise. Never really did listen to their second album illuminate after getting it, but it turned out pretty much a good listen. Sounds very much like Mew, even Mae. And a little tinge of Death Cab for Cutie. I think. But it grows dull after a while. Still, there is a song that is on repeat, and that is All i see. it is just...beautiful. Lyrically wise not that great, but the way the arrangement is done, with the drums coming in at just THAT perfect moment, it really is awesome.

Finally, before my musical ranting goes any further, i have to qualify that i am not suited to make unbiased judgement on the music i listen to. i tend to get influence quite a bit by other comments on the internet, and also from my first impression of it, and it tends to become overly subjective. nevertheless, i try to remain fair and listen to whatever i have currently playing in my album. And with that, i come to my final point.

and that is this:

i have to learn how to relax in the face of

there you go, another cryptic phrase for all you people out there to decipher. please do your best. i dont even know what it means. maybe. and that just caused me to change the title of this entry, with an extra hopefully.
